Our Mission
Thousands of starfish washed ashore. A little boy began throwing them back in the water so they wouldn’t die. “Don’t bother, son,” his mother said. “It won’t make a difference.”
The boy stopped for a moment and looked at the starfish in his hand. “It will make a difference to this one.”
If we can uphold the tenets of this tale, we’ll have done our job.
---Coach Rusty Gage, founder
_______________
The mission of Mobile Gymnastics of New Hampshire is to provide competent gymnastics instruction in a safe, highly personal and professional environment that strives to exceed our members’ reasonable expectations while ensuring that every person who participates - whether athlete, parent or instructor - is having fun through a sound, proven curriculum and through sound, logical business practices.
How It Works
A highly experienced gymnastics instructor arrives at your facility in plenty of time to set up the required equipment for each of the day’s age-specific fifty-minute sessions. Each class group (up to ten athletes per group) is led through a musical warmup and stretch before being led through fun gymnastics progressions designed to challenge each individual at his or her own pace. Cleverly disguised strength challenges are an integral part of each session. During class, athletes continually experience positive reinforcement not only for their physical efforts but also for displaying desirable behaviors. At class completion, athletes are rewarded for positive efforts and are led in an orderly fashion back to their respective classroom situations. Following the completion of the last class of the day, the instructor records each individual athlete’s efforts, claims all the gymnastics equipment and departs for the day.

The Individual
The cookie cutter approach simply doesn’t work for us. We believe that each young person is unique and must be treated as such. We believe it is the adult’s responsibility to take the time to know what makes each young person tick - to understand each young person’s learning style and personal motivations. If the adult is to be an effective teacher, he / she must take the time to learn to communicate with the individual young person in his / her own language. Once that unique level of communication is established, trust grows and positive progress takes place in ways that otherwise might not have occurred.
Will every young person in our care turn out to be the next big thing in gymnastics? To be clear, creating that gold medalist does not fit our mission. Tapping and unleashing desire and passion for movement fits our mission. If that desire and passion evolves toward a more in-depth gymnastics career, we’ll do everything in our power to lay the foundation for a successful path.
No matter the individual’s path, we’re keenly aware of the importance of the individual truly mattering.
Progression
Each athlete’s individual progress is recorded following the completion of each class session. Preschool athletes begin on the time-tested proprietary Caterpillar Level, learning beginning level skills on a low bar, low balance beam, vaulting stations, floor exercise and mini-tramp. When all skills on The Caterpillar Level have been mastered, the athlete receives a completion award and moves on to The Butterfly Level, then through the Level One system, the Level Two system and so on.
Every class session includes a warmup and stretch, a strength and conditioning element made fun, and - if age appropriate - a body awareness element.

Tuition
Perceived value and tuition rate do not always go hand in hand. You’ll never have to worry about value with us. For over forty years, our award-winning principal has staked his professional reputation on providing an unquestionably outstanding value - at any price.
On average, you’ll find many of the centers in the area charge $85 per month or more for one attendance per week - often with non-degreed, less experienced instructors who sometimes appear to be a bit less than enthusiastic about their chosen profession. Our mobile format allows our tuition to be considerably less.
Additionally, our mobile format does not carry the expensive overhead that accompanies a brick and mortar gymnastics center - expenses that the ultimately come out of the parent’s pocket.

A Bit More

Why Mobile Gymnastics
Those of us with children lead especially busy lives. Every convenience we can collect is a good thing! With Mobile Gymnastics of New Hampshire, work-weary parents don’t have to fight after-school traffic to get to a miles-away facility. Because there is no high-cost overhead for the gymnastics provider, participation cost is considerably lower while the convenience factor for parents is considerably higher.
Additionally, your child is regularly exposed to a mentally, emotionally, and physically wholesome screen-free activity that serves as a springboard for so many desirable situations: goal-setting, work ethic, risk/reward, facing challenges, and learning how to overcome those challenges - all led by a degreed professional with decades of experience teaching a wide range of ages, rates of learning and levels of motivation and mastery. Let’s not forget that gymnastics and gross motor movement - when presented through a fun-first philosophy - not only teach physical strength, flexibility, and body awareness, their collective spatial awareness components provide a solid foundation for just about any physical activity you can imagine.
We need to make it abundantly clear that Mobile Gymnastics of New Hampshire does not seek to “convert” every young person to becoming a gymnast. Rather, it is our mandate to ensure that every young person truly enjoys his / her time with us and walks way from every session with a new level of confidence about capability and potential, no matter where the child ultimately chooses to direct that potential. It is our mandate to do everything in our power to continue to build and celebrate that confidence.

Collaboration
In order for any collaboration to work seamlessly, every participant must benefit. Because the majority of our partnerships are with youth-based institutions, those institutions, whether casual daycare or formal public or private education centers, receive a 5% FlipBack® reward each month for every enrolled athlete. (If the institution so desires, we can donate its FlipBack® reward to its favorite legally registered charity). The institution clearly benefits on a number of levels, and parents appreciate our gesture of mutually beneficial commitment. With Mobile Gymnastics of New Hampshire, everybody wins!

Your Group
Mobile Gymnastics of New Hampshire is also available for other kinds of groups outside of the more formal daycare and public and private academic institutions. With a minimum of five athletes age three or older who are ready to be in a classroom situation without a parent, we are happy to provide the same quality of programming. Contact us, and let’s see what we can create for you.

Meet Coach Rusty
With a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport, a master’s degree in Business Administration and two award-winning full-service gymnastics training centers under his belt (one in Dallas, Texas and one in Maui, Hawai’i), it’s pretty safe to say that Rusty Gage has been there, done that when it comes to almost anything about gymnastics training. Rusty started teaching and coaching at the age of fourteen while he himself was a gymnast. Over forty years later, he still carries a torch not just for gross motor movement and gymnastics proper, but for all their ancillary benefits.
Character-wise, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone more committed to providing an honest experience. In fact, Rusty has been awarded the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Business Ethics, the Small Business of the Year Award, Volunteer of the Year Award, and has received commendations from the United States House of Representatives and the Hawai’i House of Representatives for his all-encompassing efforts in envisioning, developing and operating the model gymnastics training center. Those accolades don’t happen by accident. They happen when the business operates from foundations built on sincerity and integrity - qualities Rusty continues to bring to New England.
Here in New Hampshire, Rusty shifts philosophical gears by offering his expertise on a mobile basis rather than confining it to one centralized location. By offering a mobile program to the smaller towns of Southern New Hampshire, more young people can experience the visceral thrill of gymnastics without parents having to experience the sometimes exorbitant tuition costs and tiresome after-school drives to and from the major population centers.

Testimonials
Coach Rusty with Mobile Gymnastics [of New Hampshire] has been an amazing addition to our our cheer program (ages 5-11). He approaches each tumbling practice with equal amounts of professionalism, enthusiasm and passion. You can tell his whole heart is in it. What I love most as a coach is that he patient and compassionate towards the children's needs. I have cheerleaders who were afraid to tumble that are now working on round-offs after only 6-7 weeks with Rusty. The kids absolutely adore him and are always eager to tumble again. He is absolutely amazing!

Rusty is an amazing coach. The way he breaks down each skill he is teaching is so helpful with my daughter. He is so patient and makes everything fun! Whether you are a beginner or very advanced, Rusty is the perfect fit!

While this testimonial is not about gymnastics, it does speak to Coach Rusty's character - an issue that's so important when it comes to trusting anyone who works with your child.
I had the pleasure of meeting Rusty Gage when he trained me as an Office Coordinator. I have always lacked confidence when learning a new job, and at age 54 there I was again and so anxious. Rusty immediately put me at ease. Rusty guided me through all of the policies, procedures and software in a way that built my confidence and I found learning from him not only easy but fun! I am a firm believer that anything can be taught in the learning style best fit to the student and Rusty honed in on mine and this made all of the difference. The owner of the business had outlined a 12 week learning plan and in less than 2 weeks I had accomplished it. Not only did Rusty build my confidence and ease my anxiety, he became a fast friend and will be for the remainder of my life no matter how far apart we are. Rusty is honest, trustworthy, kind and has a heart for people and animals like no other person I have ever known. Anyone who has Rusty in their life in any capacity will be incredibly blessed. If you would like to speak to me in greater depth about Rusty’s character, feel free to contact me at abuelitakim@yahoo.com.
